To prepare students with the necessary qualifications to obtain an entry level position and advance in the field of architectural drafting.
About Architectural Drafting
The Architectural Drafting Technology program at NTI is designed to train students in our modern facility and prepare them for this vital career field. Students who complete the program at NTI, will have the knowledge of building materials and construction techniques used in architectural structures.
Why Consider the ADT field?
NW Arkansas is home to numerous architectural and engineering firms and industries that employ NTI's graduates. Starting wages are approximately $9 to $10 an hour. Because our students are trained in both manual and computer-aided drafting by instructors with many years of field and teaching experience, we are able to place 70 percent or more of them upon graduation.

What You Will Learn
Through the Architectural Drafting Technology program at NTI, you will learn to: Use an industry- standard computer aided drawing (CAD) program. Create architectural renderings using the manual construction method, which is still the foundation of drafting. Work with others, both employees and customers, to obtain and keep a good job within the architectural drafting field.
What you will learn:
- To become familiar with and demonstrate the use of all tools involved in architectural drafting.
- To develop the skills necessary for the beginning draftsperson.
- To be aware of and understand the need for using resource materials in everyday problem solving.
- To develop good work habits and attitudes necessary in a professional role.
- To recognize the importance of continuing education.
- To recognize the importance of involvement in student organizations.
